And that's what are the main parts I'm even going to need to get this done And so there's a total of five main parts that you'll need to pick up for your Jeep. First one will be the base plate. Now there's five main components required when flat towing a vehicle and starting on the vehicle side it's gonna be your base plate. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar on a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. Now there's gonna be five main components that are required for flat towing a vehicle, and starting on the vehicle side, your base plate. Your base plate is going to attach to the frame of the vehicle and become a rigid mount that you can have all of your accessories attached to. And that's going to also give you all the hookup points for it as well. So from our base plate, we have our tow bar, which is gonna be our connection point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV. We also have safety cables here, so that way, in case of an accidental disconnect, we're still attached, and that just attaches to the base plate as well as the safety chain loops on the RV. more

So that's really a nice peace of mind and having that rating, especially with a Wrangler you don't ever have to worry about this failing. Now, some of the features that it has that I really, really like and recommend to everyone is going to be the non-binding style. more

The Avail is definitely a tow bar that stands out when it comes to capacity. So some of your older tow bars, once you're in this locked position after towing, it is really hard to get these to separate and draw your arms back, and you really have to make sure that it's on perfectly flat level ground to be able to do that, but that's not the case here because ours is non-binding and you can see that it's locked here, I just simply push this down, and this is gonna allow us to draw that arm back nice and easy, even if you are on unlevel surfaces. more

So for a Ranger, it's not gonna be an issue at all, but this means that you could also eventually move to a larger vehicle later on with a flat towed vehicle and not really have to worry about overloading this tow bar. So with those numbers, there's very few vehicles that are able to be flat towed at that same size. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar on a 2019 Ford Fiesta. The Nighthawk is definitely one of the more premier tow bars out there on the market, and for a good reason, there's quite a few things that make this one stand out from some of the others on the market. And the first and I guess more well known feature of the Nighthawk is going to be the LED strip that you have here. And that way, when it's nighttime and you have your running lights on, these will illuminate. Because the headlights aren't on the towed vehicle, sometimes people may not notice that there's a car right there and them they'll merge over. Having these LEDs are a good indicator to let people know that there's something attached, and I can always spot these across the highway at night, because of those lights. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at "etrailer" and today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow bar on a 2022 Nexus Triumph. Now this is a pretty heavy duty tow bar coming in at a 8,000 pound capacity. So right now we have it hooked up to a Jeep Wrangler which is definitely less than that 8,000. But this is an investment that once you buy this tow bar you can really move up to a larger vehicle in the future if you plan to and still be in that safe weight capacity. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar with Blue Ox adapters on it. A 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Your Nighthawk is gonna be one of the five main components required for flat-towing a vehicle and this be creates the attachment point between the RV and the vehicle. You have the hitch on the RV, and it attaches to the base plate on your towed vehicle, and that's gonna be the mounting point for a lot of your components that attaches to the frame of the vehicle creating a nice solid mounting point. Now on your base plate, we also have a safety chain and this is going to make sure that in case of an accidental disconnect, you're still attached to the hitch on the RV. We also have our supplemental braking system and that's going to bring the vehicle to a slower stop as you apply the brakes on the RV but you also have a breakaway cable, and that way, in case of a catastrophic disconnect, it's gonna pull that cable, putting the brakes on the vehicle and bringing it to a stop, rather than rolling down the highway. more

Now a tow bar is gonna be one of your five main components when flat towing a vehicle and your tow bar is gonna be your connection point between the towed vehicle and the RV but it connects to the base plate. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the etrailer SD Tow bar on the 2022 Nexus Triumph. Now this one we have here is actually for Blue Ox baseplates, so it just has the adapters for those arms but it's also available in a Roadmaster configuration. The SD is rated at 6,000 pounds, which is gonna be perfect for our Jeep Wrangler, but it also opens it up too if you're planning on getting a larger vehicle or if your vehicle is heavier than a Jeep you have up to 6,000 pounds. So it really opens up the window to your flat towed vehicle options. Your tow bar is gonna be one of five main components required for flat towing your vehicle. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at "etrailer" and today we're taking a look at the etrailer SD tow bar and we have this hooked up to a 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a Blue Ox base plate. So we've opted to choose the Blue Ox version and that way these adapters mount up to the arms. But if you have a Roadmaster base plate, not to worry they have that option available as well. Your tow bar is gonna be one of five main components required for flat towing your vehicle and your tow bar is gonna be the connection point between the RV and the towed vehicle and it makes the connection on your base plate. And the base plate is the structural support for all the rest of your components that bolts on to the frame of the vehicle creating a nice solid contact point. The other ones that you're going to have are gonna be the base plate, where your tow bar attaches to, and that's just gonna be solidly mounted to the frame and be the attachment point. Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Blue Ox Alpha 2 Tow Bar mounted up to a 2018 Ford Edge. There's five main components when flat-towing your vehicle. First one on the vehicle side is gonna be the base plate. And the base plate attaches to the frame of the vehicle and creates a solid attachment point for your towbar to connect to. And our towbar, being the connection point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV is how your vehicle actually goes down the road.
